A Victorian Christmas

We had a wonderful time in Nevada City. I adore that lovely little town, it has so much history. It's as though we have stepped back in time every time we go there. The boys got to see chest nuts roasting on a open fire and people dressed up in their Victorian era outfits. They got to see Christmas carolers and younger children playing the harp, violin, cello and flute. We visited the old church there and the boys got to hear beautiful Christmas music and afterwards they had gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate. I got to visit one of my favorite little vintage shops called, "My Favorite Things". We saw a beautiful horse drawn carriage and a Victorian Saint Nick. It has become our family tradition to go there every year and we look forward to it every Christmas.
